OS-X Native Full Screen 'Bugs' / Version 7 preview 8 #5081

SmartGit mailing list
OS: OS-XSmartGit: Version 7 preview 8 #5081
Native Full screen 'Bugs':
When a window in SmartGit is running within the native full-screen mode, all new windows launched from that full-screen window will also be a native full-screen window. While it is not really based on OS-X human Interface guidelines,  it does work great during a merge as I will open conflict solver, then blame and then log and just 'swipe' between the screens as I'm working on conflicts.
The bug/issue is sub-windows (i.e.: non-document-model dialogs) that should not in ever be full-screen, the easiest one to repo is to select "About SmartGit" from a full-size window. There are others based upon which function you are doing; it was weird to get a full screen OK/Cancel... Document-model dialogs are fine of course  (i.e.: Save before exit dialog; Stage dialog).
In terms of menus; the "View"/"Enter Full Screen" menu option is missing. I tend to keep my hands on the keyboard and really miss that Ctrl-CMD-F... ;-)
Thanks,
Robert
PS: SmartGit is the best, I've have recently started using it after the 'other' Git GUIs that I was using could not handle the repo size of the open-source Mono project without crashing, and/or consuming 8+ GB of RAM and/or being so slow in dealing with 10,000+ commit histories on individual files and/or a 1.9GB, 1 million object repo... Thanks!

What OS X version you are using? How did you trigger the full-screen mode?

RE: OS-X Native Full Screen 'Bugs' / Version 7 preview 8 #5081

OS-X 10.10 : Via the Full Screen/Maximize Window Chrome decorator (i.e.: the Green “stoplight” window button).
It is set to diagonal arrows thus full screen enabled, so somewhere the 'mainWindow setCollectionBehavior' is assigned to 'NSWindowCollectionBehaviorFullScreenPrimary'.
I love it, being able to use a multi-touch gestures (app expose, swipe cycle, swipe left/right, etc.)  to choose/flip between windows is a real boost in productivity.  I'm currently working a new Mono/PlayScript merge that is quite complex due to a lot of refactoring and have 3 blame, 2 log, 2 conflict solvers and a few index editors running at the same time... ;-)

This bug is fixed (or worked around) in build 5098 (Help|Check for Latest Build).
